at the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center

AthensWest is proud to present HorseFeathers, a new series of staged readings by prominent Kentucky playwrights.

The first in our series: SHADOW KING by Charles Edward Pogue, which upends all we know about King Richard III and turns the tables on Shakespeare's compelling (if inaccurate) portrait. A rewrite of history or the original game of thrones? You decide!

A sprawling ensemble of well-known Central Kentucky actors will take the stage and read Pogue's exciting new work - with a talkback to follow. Included in the cast: Roger Lee Leasor, Julieanne Pogue, and Shelby Day.

Playwright Charles Edward Pogue, who has graced the Central Kentucky many times himself, is best known as the screenwriter for the films THE FLY, DRAGONHEART, and PSYCHO III - among others! Learn more about this and other plays by Pogue HERE!

There is a suggested donation of $5, which will help AthensWest continue to share the stage with established and emerging theatrical voices!
